The Institute of BioEconomy of the National Research Council – CNR IBE is a Research Institution with a permanent scientific staff of about 200 either researchers or technicians. It is actively involved in research, technology development and transfer, training and dissemination in the bioeconomy and environmental fields. CNR IBE activities aim at developing methods, models, tools and indicators for monitoring and modelling Mediterranean forest and agricultural ecosystems, with the aim of providing quantitative information for the protection and sustainable use of agro-environmental resources. CNR IBE has gained substantial experience in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) applications and correlated models and tools, participating (and leading) national and European research projects, with the specific role of analysing the environmental performances of agricultural systems and food products.
CNR IBE takes part in all project actions and is responsible for action B3.
