The 16th edition of the Sustainability Report of the Italian tanning industry, prepared by UNIC-Italian Tanneries, has been published. The Report presents the sector objectives analysed in relation to the key points identified by the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The new edition not only confirms that Italian leather is always cleaner, safer and more environmentally friendly, but also that its sustainable dimension is not at all self-referential, thanks to the comparison with the SDGs. A challenge, but also a creation of self-awareness for the Italian tanning sector which confirms itself at the forefront in terms of sustainability.
