Sustainability report 2020 of the Italian leather industry
The 18th sustainability report of the Italian leather industry has been published by UNIC Italian Tanneries. This edition follows the footsteps of the previous one, focusing the analysis of the sector on the Sustainable Development Goals defined by the UN 2030 Agenda, but deepens it by aligning its contents with the decarbonisation policies established by the European Green Deal.
The report analyses the environmental performance of the sector and presents the initiatives that companies in the supply chain and the UNIC Group are pursuing, together with national and international partners, particularly in the areas of raw materials traceability, fight to deforestation and animal welfare.
